Vintage Evening Bag, Black Beads With Petit Point Decoration C.1950's

The beauty of this bag lies in its lustrous black beads, which cover the bag. Not only this, it has the added feature of a petit point decoration on the front of the bag. It is a smaller size than other bags we have seen, making it a perfect choice for an evening occasion. Beading covers the exterior of the bag, including the single, rounded handle. The bag is opened via a straight-edged, hinged metal clasp, which runs along the length of the top edge. The clasp is beaded on the outside, and has an underside of pierced gold tone metal. The bag frame and handle fittings are of gold tone metal, and the clasp has a rope-style metal edging. The interior of the bag is lined with black silky fabric, and there are two flat, open pockets.
